Surfing
Has bought 3 surfboards. Has used all 3 exactly once. Spends more time checking Surfline than actually paddling out. Every wave is either 'too small to bother' or 'too big to risk it.' The Goldilocks wave exists only in his mind.

And perfectly fine with that. Surfing, snowboarding, music, travel, hiking, working out - Adam does them all with the enthusiasm of a pro and the skill of someone who started last week.

Owns a $600 jacket, $400 goggles, and a season pass he used twice. Falls with a level of commitment that suggests he planned it. Has perfected the 'I meant to do that' recovery face. Still counts each chairlift ride as 'a run.'
Makes bangers at 2am that sound revolutionary in his headphones. Listens back at 10am. Deletes project. Repeats eternally. Has 83 unreleased tracks and exactly 2 released ones - one of which is a joke he's still not sure landed.
Has curated the perfect crate for a party that hasn't happened yet. Will play 'just one more' until the sun comes up and the neighbors file a formal complaint. Takes requests, judges them silently, plays what he wants anyway.
Has a permanent case of wanderlust and a wallet that begs for mercy. Flies somewhere new, eats everything in sight, comes back broke, and immediately starts planning the next trip. His Google Maps timeline looks like a conspiracy theory diagram.
Drives 3 hours for a view. Stands there for 4 minutes. Takes exactly 2 photos - one is a blurry leaf. Drives back. Tells everyone about it for a week. Calls it 'connecting with nature' while checking his phone every 30 seconds.
In a committed, on-again, off-again relationship with the gym. They are currently 'on a break.' Has started 7 New Year's fitness streaks. The longest one lasted until January 12. The gym isn't the problem - the snooze button is.
The verdict
And honestly? That's the point. A jack of all trades is better than a master of one - especially when you're having this much fun being mediocre at all of them.
